About Railway Police District, Syedpur

When Railway Police was formed in 1881, back then, it was divided into two parts.  Railway Police Saidpur was one of those two. Therefore Railway Police Saidpur is one of the oldest establishments of Bangladesh Police.

Railway Police Syedpur consists of 5 Railway Police Stations and 5 outposts. They are as follows:

Railway Police Stations:

1. Syedpur
2. Parbatipur
3. Dinajpir
4. Lalmonirhat
5. Bonarpara

Railway Police outposts:

1. Parbatipur
2. Rangpur
3. Hili
4. Kaunia
5. Balashighat.

Basically the 8 Bengal districts (i. e. Rangpur, Nilphamari, Lalmonirhat, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Dinajpur) of Rangpur Division are the jurisdiction of Railway Police Syedpur.
